So, it seems like YouTube is taking over the world. I’m not sure how that happened, but it has become a go-to platform for news and entertainment. I’ve always been a fan of YouTube because it gives me access to all kinds of videos and visual information I need. With more than one billion hours watched each day on YouTube alone, there's no shortage of information or entertainment available through its many channels. So here are five of my favorites (Part 1):

Islam & Spirituality

Yaqeen Institute

The Arabic word meaning certainty and trust, Yaqeen channel is a great source of information and knowledge about Islam. There are multiple series and talks that cover all aspects of life and Spirituality for those that are eager to learn more about their faith, or those that are just curious about Islam. World News

Wion News

First introduced to me in 2021 by my dear brother, Wion is a popular English news channel based off from India and covers all aspects of news such as geopolitics, economics, and international social affairs. The great thing about this channel is that it gives you news from a different angle and perspective which is great. The channel does cover South Asian news, however there are international correspondent reporters and journalists covering the news from different locations around the world as well.

Documentaries

Al Jazeera English Documentaries

If you have some extra time and want to learn about different cultures and all kinds of worldly topics and matters, Al Jazeera documentaries is a great place to start. The videos and films are well-made and engaging, so you won’t get bored.

Cuteness Overload 

Teddy Kittens

Discovered sometime during the pandemic - Teddy Kittens is a stress-free channel and I am so pleased I found it. The videos cover the moments of the lives of cute and adorable British Shorthair cats. I could watch them all day long! It’s a great channel if you want to watch something relaxing, to distress or just want a bit of laughter in your day!

Motivational & Entrepreneurial

Marie Forleo

Marie Forleo is a great mentor and motivational coach, if you haven't come across her content, I highly recommend it. She covers all things motivational and entrepreneurial which is my passion.
